Information used
When you use the assessment, the tool processes the business you select, publicly available business information, your selected search keywords, the map centre and the audit radius. For a new assessment, the contact form asks for your email address, first name and phone number. These details and your follow-up consent choice are submitted to the assessment provider with your request. You do not need to connect your Google account.
Booking and enquiry forms collect the information shown in those forms. Newsletter signup collects your email address and signup record. Embedded services also receive technical information needed to load and operate their tools, such as your IP address and browser information.
Why information is used
Information is used to run your requested assessment and email you a link when the report is ready, respond to enquiries, manage appointments and provide services you request. The report email is automated and relates to the assessment you requested. If you choose assessment follow-up, Built by Offshift may personally email, call or text you about your results and relevant services. This optional personal follow-up is separate from the automated report email. It does not enrol you in an automated promotional sequence.
The Offshift Weekly requires a separate newsletter signup. Requesting an audit or agreeing to assessment follow-up does not subscribe you to the newsletter.
Service providers
Offshift uses external providers to operate the assessment, forms, appointment booking, communications and website hosting. These providers process information needed to provide those functions. The embedded assessment is served from audit.rank.builtbyoffshift.com. The no-connection assessment does not require you to connect your Google account.
Embedded tools and technical information
The embedded assessment loads analytics and advertising technologies, including Google Analytics, Meta Pixel and Microsoft Clarity. These are supplied by the assessment provider. Other embedded tools may also use cookies and similar technologies. These can collect device and browser information and information about how you interact with the tool. Information handled by external providers may be processed in the United States and other countries, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law. You can contact Built by Offshift for information about our service providers and their handling of your information. Browser privacy settings can limit some tracking, but blocking embedded services may prevent their forms from working.
How long information is kept
Audit reports and contact details for people who do not become clients are kept for 12 months after the last interaction, then deleted or anonymized. Minimal opt-out records are retained to prevent unwanted follow-up. Providers may retain restricted backup, security or legally required records beyond deletion from active systems; those records are subject to their applicable retention requirements. This period applies to non-client audit leads; client records and separately subscribed newsletter records have different purposes and are not covered by this rule.
Your choices
You can choose whether to agree to assessment follow-up; that consent is not required to receive the audit. You can ask Offshift to stop following up by replying to an email or text, telling us during a call, or contacting hello@builtbyoffshift.com. You can unsubscribe from newsletter emails using the unsubscribe option. You can contact Offshift to ask about your information, request access or corrections, or withdraw consent, subject to applicable requirements.
